Hi folks,
How does one go about joining the Dirt Tan Bike Club?
Sincerely,
K.P.
After a quick Sally Field crying jag, I composed myself and responded with the following.

We’re grateful you reached out to us about membership in Dirt Tan Bike Club. And I’m happy to report you’re most definitely IN.
No dues. No expensive team kits. No hazing rituals. If you’re riding safe and having fun on country roads, you’re a part of Dirt Tan Bike Club. Or if you’re out there with a cooler and a cowbell supporting somebody you love in their crazy, time-and-energy-intensive hobby of gravel grinding, you’re equally in.
Our club uniform currently is nothing more than the dirt we ride home wearing. That said, I like to draw, so it’s not out of the question that we might design some new DTBC T-shirts or cycling jerseys in the not-too-distant future. So keep your eyes open for that.
A drawerful of these retired DTBC 1.0 T-shirts are floating around in gravel circles. We’ll get cracking on another design and see if there’s enough interest for an order.
In the meantime, I hope you’ll subscribe to the blog through the button at the bottom of each essay. And be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram. And let us know what stories you want to see more of.
Are you looking for more folks to ride gravel with? We’re big fans of bike shops that organize no-drop gravel rides. If you live close to Lincoln, I can recommend a couple. But wherever you are, it’s definitely worth an ask at your local shop!
